Sigh. First of all, I am still convinced that Miguel Mendoza should not have been eliminated last week since he was still the top vote-getter (multiple sources na ito ha). This means that the powers that be at ABC-5 have taken liberty to choose the winner on their own, disregarding the text votes which should be obvious to everyone right now is/was being bought by Miguel and Jan Nieto. Jan should be a lock to win the title based on his voting block now that Miguel is gone, however, I believe ABC-5 will not allow this — they eliminated the person with the most votes after all last week.

In choosing between Mau Marcelo and Gian Magdangal, I think they will choose Gian. My advise is for them to just let Jan Nieto win, haha. After all, the career of the winner of the first Philippine Idol cannot be saved at this point. And let’s face it: Jan’s (and Miguel’s) votes have helped ABC-5 financially — who knows baka malakas talaga ang appeal niya to a select few in Philippine society. Let’s just erase this season from memory and stop beating a long dead horse.

Better luck next season ABC-5. If there is another season, the producers should be replaced since they dropped the ball very early. Their lack of vision is the single reason why this show became a failure.
