Encantadia: Pag-Ibig Hanggang Wakas ended last Tuesday, and unfortunately with a whimper. Etheria basically sucked the lifeblood out of the franchise, and I think they wanted to return the series to its former glory with Encantadia: PIHW. But I have to say, the magic was gone. First of all, they killed Aquil at the end of Encantadia, and killing the all-important love hook with it. Alfred Vargas is not Aquil and his appearances in Etheria didn’t cut it. Aquil’s return in the third series also didn’t work since the dying-then-returning-from-Devas thing is just weird.
