Ang comment ko lang sa last dress ni Regine Velasquez, while she sang her cover of Donna Summer’s “On the Radio”. Classic fugly outfit with equally fugly concept and fugly singing. Why the production designer insists on being literal by placing a giant radio beside Regine while she sings is beyond me. To top it off, I did not like Regine’s singing at all. I’m a little shocked that Regine’s singing prowess has been very mediocre over the past few months. In the words of the American Idol judges, song selection can make or break you. And as I said before, Regine can’t sing every single song in the world well. She’s constantly disappointing me now.
In fairness, maliit talaga ang entertainment market ng Pilipinas. So I can’t really fault Regine if she’s just doing her job which is to sing whatever song they give her every week. I just noticed that it’s getting boring to watch every week specially that it’s not even good singing — so why watch, diba? Spoiled na talaga ako.
