Ok, that was too dramatic for me.
It’s not the end of the world Chuck. I don’t think your father will consider you a failure. Being the winner of StarStruck shouldn’t be your measurement for success as a person. It’s a competition I know, and it hurts to lose. But things like this are beyond your control — and if you let these things dictate your self-worth, then you will be forever be miserable, guaranteed. Mahal ka pa rin ng pamilya mo diba? What made you think that they will love you even less because you didn’t win StarStruck? I think this is the more important than winning — that you will discover, win or lose your family and those who love you are still behind you.
You are already blessed to find yourself where you are. Thousands of Filipino youth could only dream of what has happened to you over the past few months. That’s something to be proud of right there.
