Pinoy Big Brother – Celebrity Edition
Pinoy Big Brother – Celebrity Edition starts on Feb. 4. No cast has been announced. I would really like Osang to join. She will be worth the ABS-CBN Now! subscription, if only because she guarantees that the show will be entertaining. ABS-CBN should be wise and give her a lot of money.
The problem with starting the “celebrity” edition of Pinoy Big Brother so soon should it be a success is this will ultimately kill PBB 2, and future editions of their “celebrity” versions. The novelty will wear out very quickly until ABS-CBN realizes that it is about storyline, storyline, storyline, and not too much on casting. Take a look at StarStruck. Araw-araw may nangyayari sa kanila. So kahit ginupitan lang sila ng buhok, hindi pa rin boring. Eh kung si Bugz Daigo nagawa nilang interesting — at magkano lang naman ang budget nila kay Bugz? Also, will the celebs be willing to give ABS-CBN an interesting storyline without sacrificing their own public image? We’ll make further judgment once they announce the cast.

Also, thanks to Retz, I just discovered that
StarStruck – Test 37 – Iba Ka Na Pala Ngayon + Surveillance Video
Next, the surveillance video.
Maganda na sana yung storya, because of course, malaking intriga catching the girls red-handed and all that. However, I have major invasion of privacy issues because the footage they used were security cameras whose purpose is for security and not television entertainment. Paano naman yung mga taong nakasama sa surveillance video na hindi kasama sa StarStruck? Did they sign consent forms? Are GMA employees and visitors now held hostage because every time they are around these kids in the GMA offices, puwede silang masama sa surveillance cameras FOR ENTERTAINMENT purposes? Think about it. If they had cameras in place there like Big Brother and Real World okay lang, because probably you were informed beforehand that you are being filmed and might be aired on TV — but these are security cameras — to monitor crime, and not StarStruck rules, even if it is a popular show. Not everybody wants to be on TV, specially if you are just riding an elevator. Sa lagay na yan, the entire security surveillance system inside GMA is now part of this reality TV show like a huge Big Brother house. Boo. I’m a bit disappointed at how this turned out.
And of course, since I’m a hypocrite and you guys want it, here’s the surveillance video.

StarStruck – Test 36 – Don’t tell a lie, wag mag-deny, Survivors… AMININ!
The computer controversy! Linitk na computer talaga yan oo. The root of all evil.
Anyway, the story as it stands: Sara and Arci saw the file on the computer which had the night’s “secrets” like best singer, etc. Arci told her not to do it (nice one Arci). And then, Jackie took the mouse, started scrolling and looked at everything. Iwa then said it was all the girls except her. And then according to love-scorned Chuck, Jana was also involved in the information gathering. Jana then said it was not her but Arci. Eventually everyone in the cast found out what was going to happen. Ay naku.
Iwa Moto (to Sara): Huwag ka ngang mandamay problema mo yan eh!
(Yikes. It looks like Iwa’s mouth went off. They should have shown this entire confrontation.)
Vivo Ouano and Bugz Daigo weigh in their thoughts.
This probably has no legs — and with the gratuitous editing — who knows what really happened. It might help Jana get some sympathy votes we’ll see.
Meanwhile, Chuck’s smug expression on the ride to dinner is a classic:
