Marky Cielo Video – Who Has It?

I just learned that the episode last Friday was not aired in the U.S. due to some non-compliant songs, whatever that means. Ano ba ang kinanta nila?

Thankfully, you guys are looking out for me and e-mailed me some screencaps of Marky to complete my collection. Hahaha. I still want the video though.

Thanks to Arnel, commenter JEFFER and Marky Cielo‘s Yahoo Group.

StarStruck – Sara Larsson Eliminated

Sara Larsson
Poor Sara Larsson. Hindi na siya sinuporta ng school niya. Her sex-scandal grew from the province of Iloilo into a nationwide invasion. And now finally, she ran out of votes to sustain her. The fact of the matter is, kailangan mo talaga ng konting talent. Although a better analysis would be despite her pretty face, she was still dispensible because Gian Carlos is also from Iloilo. So kahit na eliminated na siya, StarStruck did not lose the Iloilo votes/viewer because of Gian. And true to form, StarStuck kept the boys intact for one more week because they are more popular than the girls.

Jolina MagdangalJolina Magdangal
Jolina Magdangal, the most hard-working girl in Philippine showbiz. But what’s up with the curling iron this week at GMA? First Regine Velasquez, and now Jolina. Hold on, pareho kaya ang kanilang hairdresser/mananahi?

Bugz DaigoMarky Cielo
Before the elimination, the survivors were asked to choose who they think should be the StarStruck sole survivor, and everybody chose Marky Cielo. First up was Arci Munoz who is so smart, I have to say she may have single-handedly made Marky Cielo win. When Bugz Daigo chose Mark as well (because he is a good boy and follows my advise), the bandwagon was on. I think Jackie really had Vivo in mind because she called out his name when raising Marky’s picture — huli ka! I’m sure a lot of them decided just to go with Marky after the initial two just to play it safe. I don’t know, I could tell by just watching that the fans of both Iwa and Vivo were stunned at what was happening. And Marky of course graciously chose Bugz. Yay. I’m such a happy camper. This show is just so made for me.

After Sara abruptly left the stage, the survivors were divided into three groups to be managed by three prominent managers: Douglas Quijano, Lolit Solis and Malou Choa Pagar (from Eat Bulaga).

Malou: Vivo, Jackie, Bugz
Douglas: Marky, Jana, Chuck — of course sigawan ang mga fans ni Marky because Douglas is the manager of Richard Gomez
Lolit: Iwa, Arci, Gian

Ano kaya ang papagawin sa kanila? Exciting.

Regine Velasquez Watch – Pinoy Pop Superstar

Regine VelasquezRegine Velasquez

I really liked Regine Velasquez‘s nice, simple and elegant platinum-colored dress with black ribbon. Unfortunately, it was ruined by excessive use of the curling iron from her outfit in the opening number. So it was okay from the neck down. Haha. Anyway, her version of Madonna’s Hung Up was so patweetums. Ano ba? I guess I’m just spoiled. But really, Regine should follow, well my advice (haha), that she should sing songs na babagay sa kanya. Not every song will fit her, no matter how hard she tries. Okay Regine? I hope you do better next week.

Arnie Guieb

Arnie Guieb – Out Of My League

Hindi pala siya nanalo inspite of his “faultless diction”. Denver Regencia is the newest grand contender (from the province). I’m slack-jawed.

No! No! No! No!

GMA Pinoy TV did not show Starstruck tonight! It went from Eat Bulaga straight to 24 Oras. Nooooooo! Noooooo! And there are no repeats. Utang na loob. Why? Whaaay??? Hinde… hinde…

Update: They’re now showing Extra Challenge with this island thing with Marvin Agustin. They really skipped Starstruck. I’m devastated. I know the GMA people are reading this. Why? What’s happening?

StarStruck is just 10 minutes, why did they need to cut it?

Starstruck Girls – Tell Me Where It Hurts

Worst Performance: Sara Larsson – Really? Even with the direction coaching of Quark Henares? I don’t think she was that bad.

Best Performance: Iwa Moto – Nanalo na naman siya. Sige na I’ll join the bandwagon: she doesn’t look sincere. Hahaha. I don’t know, I’m confused with the girls. For some reason I liked Jackie Rice and her dramatic rooftop video.

This episode is making me excited for the videos tomorrow. Mas may appeal talaga ang mga boys ngayon dahil their potential for disaster is greater.

ABS-CBN Drops MGB

I’ve been looking for news on this for a couple of days now ever since TFC announced “schedule changes” for the weekend. If politics were indeed involved in the scrapping of Magandang Gabi, Bayan then that is unfortunate.

From INQ7:

Yesterday, a reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the Lopezes had asked De Castro to break away from Ms Arroyo, but that the Vice President had yet to respond.

The source cited the cancellation of MGB as proof of the alleged continuing pressure exerted by the Lopezes on De Castro.

According to the source, the Lopezes have declared a “war” on Ms Arroyo, whom they supposedly viewed to be hostile to their business interests.

I don’t like the idea of a media company imposing its political will on anything — even if I don’t like Arroyo myself and wrote in my blogs last year for her to resign.

Attack the administration for the Filipino people, not for the interests of the Lopez family.
