Mall test! The dreamers were assigned to go to a mall, then they asked around if people knew them. If someone knew their name, they can ask where a certain store was to earn points. If you ask someone who doesn’t know you, you get disqualified. I must say that I liked this episode because it was great to see the dreamers interact with the fans. We’re normal people like you, but look, we could be a star. Love it.
And the winner is… Sara Larsson! May fans pala si Sara — I’m so happy! Hahaha. Ang biased talaga.
Medyo kinabahan ako sa episode na ‘to. I felt nervous for the dreamers as they faced the questions from the entertainment press.
Kung ang entertainment press ang masusunod, Vivo Ouano, Johan Santos and Marky Cielo are the runaway favorites. Of course, I agree, haha. Marky Cielo, the first Igorot artista — it’s about time. I’m so excited for Marky. Sana tuloy-tuloy na.
I still think however that Vivo has the upperhand, but I worry for his talent. He’s already perfect for a print ad, but can he act/dance/sing? Diba may weight din yun for a StarStruck survivor? Johan meanwhile is very middle of the road for me, pero parang dumadami na din ang kanyang fans.
The others who got one vote from the press were Chuck Allie, Arci Munoz, Jackie Rice and Vaness del Moral. What? Walang mention kina Iwa Moto and Rea Nakpil? Hmmm.
This episode was very revealing since it showed us what kind of first impressions these guys have on the people who spread tsismis around. I’m beginning to think now that I’m the sole bailiwick of Sara Larsson and Bugz Daigo fans out there.

I feel bad that ABS-CBN invited Retz to do a segment on Pinoy Big Brother blogging, then ended up scrapping it because they felt it wasn’t significant. Some prominent Pinoy bloggers like Yugs, Cat and Jobert, have already weigned in on this unfortunate event. It would have been ok if ABS-CBN ignored Retz completely (just like Pinoy Rickey — who for all intents and purposes is a publicity whore), but they in essence treated him like crap and wasted his time. At least he now has something new to write, but its nothing compared to being acknowledged for your contribution to the Pinoy Big Brother show. Retzwerx became the first destination for PBB updates during the show, something the official website couldn’t achieve because of slow updates.
All I can say is, ABS-CBN should be thankful that they could not show Pinoy Big Brother in North America, or else I would have been all over it. As it is, my first post on Pinoy Big Brother — about not being able to watch it — is the most commented post on all of Pinoy Rickey, now topping 700 comments. Imagine what I could have done if I had more material to work with (another ABS-CBN show, Panday, comes to mind). Next season na lang… kung matuloy si Rosanna Roces, I’m definitely getting the online subscription.
Are bloggers really significant? It depends. Certainly, a blog becomes significant if it has numbers on its side — meaning a lot of people read what you have to say. Whether or not a blog exerts influence on its readers however is another story. Here at Pinoy Rickey, we now average 800-1000 visitors a day, but I don’t know if this is a significant number for a Philippine blog or website. (I’m still trying to consolidate the Danny Laureano niche, hahaha.) But over at my main blog, rickey.org, though my daily average has gone down significantly, I can always brag that I got 35,000 visitors in one day after the American Idol finals.
For the entire PBB season that he blogged, Retz logged 100,000+ unique visitors, and when he broke the news that ABS-CBN scrapped his segment on Pinoy Big Brother Revealed, he immediately received 3000+ e-mails from his readers showing support. If that’s not influence, I don’t know what is.
Poor Jeric Rizalado. It was painfully obvious that he had no talent. I was thinking that they would keep him for controversy, but I guess his dead weight was not worth the trouble. It also seemed that among the dreamers, he was universally disliked.
I also know why Vaness del Moral and Rea Nakpil made it to the bottom three — ginamit nila ang mananahi ni Regine! They both had the signature tutu-dress. When Rea first walked out, I immediately thought she grabbed that outfit from Regine’s closet — fugly! First lesson of StarStuck: do not wear the tutu-dress.
And what’s up with this pasaway crap? I’m now all of a sudden intrigued by all the behind the scenes action. Bad girl pala si Rea? Who knew! At anong klaseng sikreto ang gusto ni Joey de Leon malaman? Vivo, ano kaya ang secret mo? Hmmm.

In black and white for maximum effect — pero brilliant in its fugly execution, ha? At first close-up kay Regine in black, tapos pag-zoom out, ay, puti.
And since nakapasok na sa finals si Irra, puwede na siyang tsugiin. Once again, he murders an American Idol-inspired song, this time Il Divo’s Unbreak My Heart (Regres A Mi). Denver wins by unanimous decision, and rightfully so.
I miss Danny Laureano.
Raymund Isaac thought that Sara and Bugz were the weakest during the pictorial. I’m worried for Sara — hindi pa siya nag-sha-shine. At least magaling mag-make-up si Bugz. Haha. That goes for something diba? Every day is a test…
And the winners are: Iwa “may koneksyon sa tao” Moto and Marky “walang angulo” Cielo.
Is it by public vote or judges?
Where’s the radical America’s-Next-Top-Model-like changes? Some of them looked like they didn’t even go to a hairdresser.
Winners: Jackie and Gian – and not for looks, but for inner-beauty daw. Jackie and Gian however, did get the most radical changes, with Jackie’s noticeable shorter look and Gian’s shorter eyebrows.
At anong shampoo commercial naka-kontrata si Vaness?
