Court freezes AGB Nielsen ratings for 20 days (ABS-CBN)

Tin said AGB Nielsen conducted its own investigation and found at least 79 of its metered homes that were breached by another network.

In her affidavit, Reforma said the 79 were among 532 metered homes in six cities interviewed by the research firm to confirm the alleged bribery attempts. She said the 532 homes comprised 100 percent of all AGB Nielsen metered homes in the six cities.

Of the 79 tampered homes, 27 were from Iloilo, 18 were from Bacolod, 12 from Cebu, 13 in Davao, four in Dagupan and five in Cagayan de Oro.

She added that of the 79 homes, 63 homes were visited once while 16 were visited twice or more times.

She said statistical tests conducted by AGB Nielsen showed that 16 of the 79 homes “showed a significant change to favor GMA in its viewing behavior.”

She noted, however, that the evidence obtained by AGB Nielsen “strongly indicates that the tampering was confined to Bacolod and for the period from July to September 2007.”

This is a major victory for ABS-CBN. No ratings for 20 days? Can’t the court conduct an investigation while AGB is still collecting data? How did this judge get paid off? I think all hell should just break lose. If it’s a war they want, it’s a war they should get.

If you read the last quote: “the tampering was confined to Bacolod and for the period from July to September 2007.” In other words: The NATIONAL RATINGS for this period which ABS-CBN claims to be #1 nationwide is BOGUS! Sila din ang napahamak. Hindi na sila #1. Hahaha.

Clearly, ABS-CBN wants to poison the well to discredit the AGB Nielsen organization as a whole and the Mega Manila ratings which they have not been able to break for 3 years. They got it for 20 days — so now ABS-CBN, GMA and the advertisers have nothing to work on during the holiday season.

GMA is filing a libel suit and they should.

ABS-CBN: Wowowee rehearsals ‘leak’ is an old issue (GMA News)

When asked to comment about this rehearsal video, ABS-CBN Corporate Communications Head Bong Osorio told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “That’s an old issue. That has been going on for months, it stopped…We don’t know why it’s resurfacing. It’s an old issue. It has been discussed lengthily in the tabloids, TV, and afternoon programs. It has quietly taken a back seat until this afternoon.”

Ows? Sana sabihin din nila for the record na “old issue” na rin sa kanila ang Wowowee Stampede Tragedy. All the promises of ABS-CBN to help the families of those they killed has NOT HAPPENED (just like I predicted 2 years ago). They are cheaters, liars and most of all: killers.

“On February 4, 2006, 71 fans of ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show Wowowee sacrificed their lives to give ABS-CBN the highest rated show in the history of Philippine television.”
