Willie explains ‘Wilyonaryo’ scandal; says sorry to Joey (ABS-CBN News)

“Wowowee” host Willie Revillame finally explained the controversial incident during the airing of the “Wilyonaryo” game segment last August 20. He also apologized for making remarks that offended “Eat, Bulaga!” host Joey De Leon.

Willie then said that even if he was charged with sexual harrassment, Joey was charged with something else that he (Willie) implied was much worse, but refused to say directly.

Many understood that Willie was alluding to a rape case that was lodged against Joey De Leon and “Eat, Bulaga!” co-hosts Vic Sotto and Richie D’Horsie. That case was lodged in 1982 by sexy, underaged Fil-Amerasian starlet Pepsi Paloma.

Well, how about this: Wowowee has been charged with MURDER. Not once, but 74 times. Grabe si Willie. Talagang walang puso.

Gringo backs Senate probe of ?Hello, Pappy? episode (GMA News)

Sen. Gregorio Honasan has supported the call for the investigation of the ?Wowowee” TV game show controversy, saying the probe will protect consumers against all forms of possible fraud.

“We are definitely endorsing the Senate investigation. This is all about fairness, and ensuring the probity of all popular contests, whether on-screen or off-screen, in order to safeguard consumers,” Honasan said in a statement released to media on Monday.

Hahaha. I love it.

I really hope that ABS-CBN does not put a gag-order on Willie. But knowing him…

“Pasensiya na po kung nagiging emosyonal ako sa mga pangyayari sa buhay ko. Sa araw-araw po kasi na nandito ako, siyempre sa pagod, sa lahat na po, nadadala kami sa emosyon. Pero magmula po ngayon, open na ako.”

Bukod pa rito, idinaan din ni Willie sa kanta ang pagnanais niyang makipagbati sa kaniyang “kaibigan” na si Joey.

“Magbati na tayo, aking kaibigan. Pasensiya ka na, nadala lang ng emosyon. Pero ikaw pa rin ang aking inspirasyon dahil ikaw ang tunay na institusyon. Eat Bulaga! kayo ang tunay na number one…” bahagi ng awitin ni Willie patungkol kay Joey.

What a jerk. Siya na nga ang nag-umpisa. Masamang damo talaga.

2 congressmen want ?Wowowee? taken off air (GMA News)

Two lawmakers on Friday called on the management of ABS-CBN Channel 2 to stop airing the controversial noontime television show ?Wowowee” hosted by Willie Revillame.

According to a Sun-Star report posted Friday night, Congressmen Dan Fernandez of Laguna and Magtanggol Gunigundo II of Valenzuela said they were dismayed over reports of alleged rigging in the program, which they believe should meet an end right away.

Fernandez, a former actor, said continuing with ?Wowowee” would not erase public perception about the incident of alleged cheating in ?Wilyonaryo,” a new segment, during its August 20 episode, which the management of ABS-CBN Channel 2 said had encountered a technical glitch.

The Valenzuela lawmaker also underscored the need for ABS-CBN Channel 2 to promote programs that would teach people the value of hard work as a means of earning for their daily subsistence instead of giving them false hope through big prizes.
