Okay the real reason I am doing this is for Aldred Gatchalian. He’s in a new primetime soap again, after appearing in that flop series involving Toni Gonzaga and Gay Manzano (who’s in another flop series by the way — this time more expensive). Hopefully they will give Aldred more opportunities to shine this time.
Medyo flimsy ang premise na Ysabella will “avenge” the stolen recipe for that roasted chicken. I hope they make it into a light drama, kasi you know, I will have a hard time taking this seriously if it’s over manok. The scenes with Maricel Laxa eating that chicken wing and going crazy over the recipe are hilarious — and are signs of a ridiculous confrontation in a few weeks: Judy Ann (to Laxa) “Ninakaw mo ang secret recipe ng inihaw na manok ng nanay ko! Sinira mo ang buhay ko, magdusa ka. Etc. Etc.” Really? Manok? Ay oo nga pala, mascot ng ABS-CBN manok.
I am also infuriated with Rosanna Roces right now over the comments she made regarding Rudy Fernandez. Rosanna said that because Rudy has cancer right now, he was the “bad” person in their alleged affair, not her. Grabe. She managed to make Lolit Solis look like an angel and that’s no easy feat. If I were Lorna, Rudy, etc. I would demand nothing less than a full apology. And if Lolit was just a teenie-weenie bit smarter, she will just ignore Rosanna altogether. I know she’s more in her element with a head-on confrontation, but clearly her best move right now is to shut up. Let Rosanna cook in her vicious words — parang inihaw na manok! Hahaha.
So really, this is for Aldred. Everybody else is incidental.
