Pastor Piolo Pascual?

Piolo Pascual will train formally to become a pastor (GMA News)

Actor Piolo Pascual says he wants to give more time to the Lord. He is serious enough about this to plan on taking a leadership training course at the Every Nation Leadership Institute at Fort Bonifacio. The course is to prepare him to become a pastor.

The realization that he wanted to be a servant of God came to Piolo, he says, when he was 25 years old. Now 30, the actor has this to say, “My hunger is focused now on my ministry rather than my work. I’ve done so much. The Lord has been very good to me and I am so blessed. I should focus now on other things, not only on my career. I am happy with what I have achieved. Darating yung time na I would slow down and focus more on my ministry.”

Piolo is a member of the Victory Christian Fellowship.

Utang na loob.

I blame Philippine society for frowning about homosexuality as if it is some sort of curse or disease. I honestly think that Piolo is confused, and here he is giving his life to the very institution that is turning him against his very nature. Arghh. Piolo come back! Sam needs you! We all need you.

Erik Matti’s Rounin — Episode 8

Jhong Hilario

Erik Matti’s Rounin

You know what was funny? The ceiling fans at the party. I don’t know why the production designer found it necessary to put those. It’s supposed to be cold right? Cold enough so that everybody’s justified in wearing some sort of trenchcoat. So why make it even colder with fans? Oh I forget, those guys probably didn’t know that. (Just like Janno in Lupin with his ridiculous trenchcoat.)

Clearly, Rounin is catered to a male audience which is unfortunate. An all-male cast could have worked if these guys had an iota of appeal to the opposite sex, which they don’t.

Further evidence is that the vocal fans of Rounin are males. We’re not going to get maria dolores back unfortunately, which is so disappointing.

Verdict:
Rounin is for Filipino males with no girlfriends.

I have 2 more episodes recorded. Thanks for your continued patience.
