Robin Padilla is so funny.

As promised, now that Asian Treasures has premiered on GMA PinoyTV, the videos have popped up on YouTube.

GMA PinoyTV is readily available in North America via DirecTV or you can check your local cable company. If it’s not available in your area, well, there’s always Pinoy Rickey! Haha. Or YouTube.

Medyo this is kinda a labor of love, so I will make a best effort. If I miss it, you can always check YouTube. There are a couple over there already.

So what do I think? Well, Robin is funny, so that should sustain this show for a while. I can forgive the low-budget special effects — since the show is tongue-and-cheek, it kinda fits in. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, so I am willing to suspend disbelief a bit more. Good acting and humor really goes a long way. I came away expecting that in the next episode, I will be entertained which is what matters.

My only hope is that this doesn’t end up like the other Eric Quizon-directed, Angel Locsin-starred teleserye Majika — which did not live up to its potential when it ended. Please, please sana hindi i-extend needlessly at sana maganda ang role in Marky Cielo.

Parang gusto kong mag-all-out war with Cristy Perminute after watching this.

Paano naging mas sikat si Matt Evans vs. Sunshine Dizon when Pedro Penduko (20%) was beaten by Bitoy’s Funniest Home Videos last weekend and Bakekang consistently rated 30% last week? Cristy is a bald faced liar.

Cristy’s attack on Sunshine was so bad, I actually liked Boy Abunda’s level-headedness. And you know I don’t like Boy (dahil ayaw kong mag-tara-usap-tayo sa kanya).

Cristy Perminute is a true bitch. She’s so evil! Down with evil people!

Thank you to everyone for supporting Pinoy Rickey, specially now that one of our favorite pastimes: StarStruck is in full swing. It would have been better if the ratings were like last year — and in a better timeslot in Manila, but it looks like a lot of people are still interested. Last Sunday, the elimination rated a 25%, so I hope this continues until the winners are announced.

Shucks, ang ganda!

I have to admit, may chemistry nga ang ALKRIS, pero I’m still not losing hope for ALJEURWEL! Haha. At least better than AL-PRESCO (chemistry? what chemistry?) or AL-JESI (para silang dalawang barako, haha). Unfortunately medyo serious ang scene nila Aljur and Jewel with the salsa scene so nasapawan ng sweet scene nila Aljur and Kris. I still believe that the best loveteam will be between the best guy and best girl. Also, kayang tumayo nila Aljur and Jewel individually as the Ultimate Hunk and Ultimate Sweetheart. Kaya advise ko kay Kris Bernal: Try to get something serious going with the other boys, perhaps Mart or Prince — para tumaas ang market value. You want to be the girl everybody wants to be the partner of on the show, similar to how everybody wants to be the partner of Aljur. Maganda yung Mark Herras thing, but outside the context of the show so it’s not that effective right now. And to her fans, I personally see Kris doing well in hosting — parang Christine Bersola or Pia Guanio ang dating. Anyway, ang galing nila Aljur and Jewel.
